The Holocaust - Individual and Society - Identity
Individual and society: Identity
•Who am I? What are the various factors that shape identity? In what ways is our identity defined by others?
•How does society influence our identity and the choices we make?
•What does it mean to be “from” a place? How does where we are from influence who we are?

Mrs. Cabeza's Classroom: How was your summer?
Mrs. Cabeza's Classroom: How was your summer?
I spent my summer brushing up on ways to integrate technology into my classroom. Which wasn't easy considering students are ten times more savvy on the latest software and their use.
On a more relaxing note, my family and I vacationed on Fort Meyers Beach. It was wonderful! My dog, Oreo, went swimming in the ocean for the first time. It was comical to see him running in and out of the water trying to avoid the waves. Relaxing on the beach wasn't a bad thing either. Catching up on summer reading is always so much better under a palm tree!
I look forward to starting the new school year and getting to know my new students. I learn just as much from them as they hopefully learn from me. I hope we can have great exchanges of information and interesting discussions on life and literature!
